Hello group!

I am an American here on a 30 day exemption currently in Pattaya.

I would like to stay in Thailand for as long as I can. I absolutely love it here.

I have rented a condo with a month to month contract and my landlord has given me the proper paperwork to take to immigration for an extension.

I entered the country on the 10th of April.

My question is: What is the best order to approach renewing my visa or doing border runs?

Should I just apply for the extension now and save my border runs for later? Should I apply for some type of 6 month or 1 year Visa before my current exemption expires?

Any advice from experienced people is appreciated! Thanks 😊🙏

My Ed visa expires the 2nd of march. My university has informed me it could be up to 3 months till I get my final official transcripts.

Would it be possible to leave and come back on the 30 day exemption(American passport) then do a 30 day extension and if needed do a 60 day family extension.

I already have job offers but the contracts would start in April or May. Is it possible to get a work permit/visa without official transcripts if from a Thai university? Or am I at the mercy for my university to get my transcripts before the start date and risk it?

I’ll be doing an extension on a 30 day exempt tomorrow in CM, is the immigration office in the same place or has it moved elsewhere? Thanks.

Hi everyone;

American passport holder.

I am currently on a work permit / visa. That is up on Friday. I am leaving Thailand and staying in Malaysia for a few days. Can I come back on a 30 day exemption and THEN extend 30 days (when the first 30 are up). Or must I get an actual tourist visa in order to extend? Tia

Hi all, just a quick question – I am coming to the end of my 30 day tourist visa - so I am going to Vietnam for the weekend. When I return to Bangkok DMK will I be able to purchase an extra 30-day visa for 1900THB at the airport on top of the standard 30-day passport stamp? Thanks
