Let's assume it's true that DTV holders will get taxed for working from thailand. How can I get a tax file number, and open a thai bank account to be able to pay tax properly? Is there a clear path to do that? Or are they going to look into my foreign bank account? I'm more than happy to pay tax and contribute, but there seems to be lots of obstacles to be able to do that thru the proper channels
genuinely curious as to why a thai bank account is needed... is it to pay for bills? rent? can that be done in other ways? if yes, how? (question is for everyone reading this comment, not just the poster) I'm assuming it's a matter of transferring money into the account details but I may be wrong (not lived there yet but going to soon).
please correct me if I'm wrong - you mentioned that if you do the usual border run for the 180day rule, the 90-day -REPORTING- resets, and you have to do it in person again - not onlineThat means, we have to go do it in person every time after exiting and reentering.
how long have you been doing that? Heard stories of people getting their Wise account closed due to usage in Thailand but i couldn't find many sources. On Wise website it says it's fine but I'm just looking out to get a plan B or even plan C ready
