Glen Yeah, I asked about that specifically and they said in the case of a visa exemption/SETV upon entry into the country at immigration, they've never heard of anyone asking for proof of accommodation at the airport.
I think when applying for the SETV/METV at the embassies abroad, they'll ask, yeah. Also possibly entries for other types of visas maybe? I'm not sure. But I specifically asked this question and that's what I was told regarding exemptions and SETV only. If I'm mistaken/wrong, my apologies.
