Complimentary travel insurance is available with certain credit cards. All you need to do is use the card for around $250 on your trip, such as airline ticket purchase and the cover includes family for up to six months.

you can ask immigration in say Hua Hin and ask the same at immigration in Chachoengsao and get two completely different answers, that’s why I suggested to ask at the office the application would be made. I wouldn’t take Facebook opinions seriously.

Why don’t you ask at the immigration office you will make your application through ?

Hi David, I have had a Thai wife and visited Thailand since the early 1990s. I was stranded in Thailand during the pandemic and stayed in Hua Hin for about 6 months and have returned there several times since. I’ve decided to retire there when I reach pension age early next year. No shortage of medical providers that speak English. For me it’s been the city I like most in Thailand.

Actually you may be right! and I apologise.

I'm reading conflicting requirements from various sources.

I'm not worried about you at all, but what is concerning is the misinformation you are posting here. Just because you haven't had issues ignoring the legal requirements of Thailand doesn't mean others taking your advice won't.
