Jim Davis yes it is. I just moved from Australia to Hua Hin. If you think cost of living here is 80% of that in Australia you are smoking crack or trying to live a fully western lifestyle here with everything imported.

Dont even know how you would pay the same rent for an equivalent place. Its just not possible.

What is the best way to transfer money for a retirement visa and monthly pension drawdowns in Thailand?

Is it just to transfer the money or do you need prove your monthly income for a visa?

If only moving money i transfer from my Australian bank to Wise and from there to KBank.

Even with charges, Wise's superior exchange rate beats the Aus bank free transfer but crappy rates.

Elías Molina I agree completely assuming they follow through after you have paid the money.

Currently stay at a long stay hotel room. Asked for the TM30 and guy at reception did it for me in a few minutes and printed the submission receipt.

Its only a problem if they have something to hide 😔

Why is health insurance in Thailand so much more expensive than in Australia?

My quote for insurance is not much more than what I was paying for HCF private + Medicare levy.

And I don't have to sit in emergency for 7 hours for a minor procedure after being referred by a GP.

Worth every cent imo.
