If you are from any country with visa exemption, just come with 60 days, bring thai wife to immigration to get another 60 days extension, than go lao and get back again with 60, and another trip to immigration with wife to get another 60.

Easier to get a retirement visa, less paper work than getting marry and getting marry visa. But with retirement visa, you can not get work permit.

If you get caught, they can void your visa. (seen a guy using a edited tm30 to apply for visa extension recently. the imm lady just told him to wait while she check the system. Told him to go get a real copy and shoo him off. Surprise they did not get the police to nab him.)
