Anonymous participant 238 is a Special tourist visa! Which means I can work remotely from Thailand and I can stay here for up to 5 years. And I clearly say it to the officers. But for some reason people on Facebook try to convince me: you'll be denied to enter the next time. Why? Lol 😆

i prefer Thai tea 😅 well, the consulate has category non-immigrant and tourist visas (and others). DTV is under non-immigrant visas so it's clearly not a normal tourist visa. Working remotely on a tourist visa is a grey zone - on DTV is a green zone. We can find more differences.

I'm not so sure. For example on Los Angeles consulate DTV is under non immigrant visas.

please use correct terms. You are a resident of Thailand if you live there and you don't need any documents for that. You are a tax resident after spending at least 180 days there. You're talking probably about permanent residence which is completely different things and most of the time not relevant to dtv visa.

it's in the response to the posts like: I've seen a guy who was denied to enter Thailand at the airport or had to buy a return ticket.

this post is in the response to the posts like: I've seen a guy who was denied to enter Thailand at the airport or he had to buy a return ticket. In my opinion it's a bs. Either they abuse the visa or sth else has happened. I strictly follow the rules of DTV visa and I see no reason to be denied the entry or get deported lol. On DTV we have almost all advantages of a non-o resident visa (except working here and some details). I'm not gonna panic reading those posts, and I believe they are not true. I meet all the criteria of the visa so I can receive all the advantage of the visa
