Do you actually need to get an ed visa in first place? I know you can't work on a retirement visa but don't think taking classes is an issue. Seems like you'd be wasting money unnecessarily. I could be wrong but that was my understanding

You can get a confirmed flight itinerary for about £10 online that will suffice for the visa process

It's a straightforward process to get a bike license and pretty cheap as well. I'd recommend doing a training course first if you d never ridden a bike before. Honda have several training schools around the country. If it's a big bike you want to ride then you'll want a multiday course. If you just want a license so you can ride a twist and go then you'll only need a half day course

this one been around for ages. Many people seem to be out off by having to pay for the insurance, which you don't if you convert to retirement visa in Thailand. But as insurance is a good idea and this doesn't tie up cash in Thailand it's a pretty good option. Also, I think you meant moot

I'd say it's a bit too far in advance to for concrete plans. Just keep an eye on the TAT website for updates on various changes. A lot can change between now and then. I'd maybe start trying to make plans about a month before

Look at getting an o-a multiple entry visa in your home country. That will last 2 years if you exit and enter at the right time Im led to believe and you keep your money in your home bank account rather than having to have it tied up in a Thai bank account. You do have to have insurance with that visa but that's advisable anyway. Process is pretty quick and easy. Cost of visa will be around $300 assuming it's a similar cost in Aus as is in UK. I had mine in under a week after submitting the documents

is correct, you now book yourself and require the receipt for your COE. But you're coming in November and technically the sandbox should be over by then. That is looking highly unlikely but there may well be changes by then, so what the process is now may well be different by the time you come.
