I live 15km south of PKK in Wathon area very quiet we own our own house and been there 13 years ,I have been doing 6 months on off work for last few years ,prior to moving here that i was in BKK for 12 years so 25 years in thailand all in now retired full time it's quiet very quiet As Much as i like area i feel for me it will be beneficial to split 6 months winter here with family and summer in UK possible doing contract work for sanity......maybe not ready for retirement yet and miss real beer too much ..but each to their own
ok i am only talking about state pension here...a basic UK state pension is so poor its under UK tax threshold so it would not be taxed in UK so are saying a paltry amount of less than 12k year would be then taxed here??
I live in the countryside everyone of those crimes happen daily within a few km of my house visibly the worst being the helmet less most probably drunk drivers of farm salengs not taxed or insured driven at night without any lights on dark country roads
I would imagine 10s of 000s of pensioners here are not paying tax on any income I stopped paying thai income tax when I closed my company I have a tax number but never been bothered by anyone since
