yes they’ve said that rapid test results are ok, but they don’t offer them at the airport or bridge on arrival anymore. You need to show your results at the airport before you come to Phuket or else they won’t let you on the plane.

are you in an ASQ now? If so I think you can avoid the quarantine as long as you have your negative test from the end of your stay. Otherwise the concern is that if you’ve been in BKK there’s a chance you may have been exposed. Phuket is quite serious at the moment so they will be able to open on July 1st, hence why there is still a ban on alcohol sales at restaurants and bars are still closed.

I’m not sure about Krabi.

For Phuket it is possible as long as you’re fully vaccinated, have a negative Covid test result from the last 72 hours (though that’s changing to the last 7 days on June 1st), or are willing to do a 14 day quarantine wherever you’re booked to stay.

As for what’s open, there’s basically Phuket Town, Rawai, and BangTao. There are a few places open in Patong along the beach road and on Nanai Road, but the rest of the town is pretty quiet.

At the moment yes, it’s still a 14 day quarantine to be served in an ASQ hotel. Phuket is planning to open to full vaccinated tourists from July 1st, but the details haven’t been released yet and there is a lot of speculation as to whether or not they will meet the conditions in order to reopen.

Yep. Best bet would be to contact the Thai embassy in Vietnam (not sure if it’s in Hanoi or not) and they should be able to tell you what the process will look like. You’ll need all the proper documents, and at the moment you still need to do a 14 day quarantine in an ASQ hotel.

I was there this morning around 10:00 and it wasn’t too bad. Had to pick up my passport as I went in Friday afternoon but they couldn’t process it the same day. The bright side was that when I picked it up today they already put the 2nd Covid stamp in it so I don’t need to go back in a week like usual.

maybe they just need to have them all processed by the end of the month? My processing time was only 7 days the last 2 times I extended so maybe the process has gotten more efficient?

I got mine done (2nd stamp) yesterday but If it’s anything like it was at the end of November the last day of the month will likely be very busy. I had to go back on the last day for my 2nd stamp in November and it still took a few hours to get the stamp. I’d suggest going in early as I was there at 8:30 and still had to wait quite awhile. Also, the 60 days starts the day you get your under consideration stamp, not on the day that your previous 60 days would have expired, just FYI.

sorry, I’m not sure. I’m on a visa on arrival, not any type of long term visa so maybe that has something to do with it?

I’m not sure, but they did print something out at the office that had my registered address on it that they matched with my tm7 form. No official 90 day report was done though.
