Is it possible to travel from Bangkok to Phuket or Krabi right now as a tourist? I'm in Bangkok atm. Also, how is the situation down there? Is anything open in Central Patong or Ao Nang?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, it is currently possible to travel from Bangkok to Phuket or Krabi as a tourist if you're fully vaccinated and have a negative RT-PCR Covid-19 test result within the specified time frame. For Phuket, while some areas like Phuket Town, Rawai, and BangTao are open, Central Patong is quieter with only a few places open. In Krabi, especially Ao Nang, you will find some cafes and restaurants operating, but the area is generally quiet.
yes theyâve said that rapid test results are ok, but they donât offer them at the airport or bridge on arrival anymore. You need to show your results at the airport before you come to Phuket or else they wonât let you on the plane.
Phuket .. after you come out you get a certificate is it older the 72 hours you need to do a pcr test to board on the plane ... but here very nice nearly no new infections empty beaches .. on the East coast busy all restaurants open till 23 no alcohol sale in but take away ....

Can do, special summer camp in Thalang hospital if you get positive at the Phuket check point, If you fly same at Phuket airport testing but check with airlines as they may require the test before boarding the plan

It is possible to travel to Krabi. It's pretty quiet here. A lot of places closed down but you can still find some cafes and restaurants open at Ao Nang. They need a lot more customers!!!

no. we have no issue without test. was asked to d/l the app and did registration for Krabi province
Why you write false information? Yes,you have to quarantine 14 days if you wanna enter to Krabi. Even if you get a test or not,it doesnât matter, you have to quarantine.
well if i should, they should informed me? i went through great length to find out but nobody can give me an answer. hotels mentioned they do rapid test at the airport. i was ready for it. but nope, they checked the documents. what am i suppose to do??? i am not breaking any laws if they did not stop me from leaving Krabi airport.
If I've already quarantined in Bangkok (3 weeks ago now), will I need to quarantine or test again to enter Krabi?

For Phuket it is possible as long as youâre fully vaccinated, have a negative Covid test result from the last 72 hours (though thatâs changing to the last 7 days on June 1st), or are willing to do a 14 day quarantine wherever youâre booked to stay.
As for whatâs open, thereâs basically Phuket Town, Rawai, and BangTao. There are a few places open in Patong along the beach road and on Nanai Road, but the rest of the town is pretty quiet.

Thank you â I appreciate your help. Krabi seems mucheasier going atm. I've been out of ASQ for 3 weeks now so I guess I'd need to quarantine again when I get to Phuket.
are you in an ASQ now? If so I think you can avoid the quarantine as long as you have your negative test from the end of your stay. Otherwise the concern is that if youâve been in BKK thereâs a chance you may have been exposed. Phuket is quite serious at the moment so they will be able to open on July 1st, hence why there is still a ban on alcohol sales at restaurants and bars are still closed.
Iâm not sure about Krabi.
