Im not sure how it works in Cambodia. Like in Portugal it was a 2 year process to get a residency card which has my photo on it. That is what was required from the Portugal Thai Embassy. Cambodia is very different though....

So basically if you are trying to apply for one of those types of visas you have to look at the local embassy website. For example, in Portugal - I had to show residency in Portugal as I am American to apply for any sort of Thai visa.

yup.....so basically the banks won't do it, and most of the small currency exchanges have Recently shut down by the government. So the ones we can find will only do kip.

So we have a atm card so we can withdraw kip just getting the Thai baht for the visa is difficult

It's my fault for not reading the check list carefully as I didn't see until tonight they only accept Thai baht.

I expected them to take local currency as a few months ago I applied for a visa in Europe and they accepted local currency
