I think they are also wanting him to stay a little longer - that is what it sounds like! They are super co-operative so I think he should extend and this week we will begin with the University paperwork and figure out the change over. He is still employed and working so no need to inform immigration otherwise as yet. When the time comes we will
yea they were waiting for document from HO as he is working on Samui. He just had a meeting with HR and they suggest we let them do his extension and it gives him until next year to sort the University one out. IF they are willing to do it and have no problem with the fact he needs to leave there soon I guess we will go with that !
They were missing a document from Head Office in Bangkok when they did the extension so they added a month. Time us running out and am wondering what we should do next. He is still working but we trying to figure out if it's time to stop and go sort Uni visa !
that is the thing - we haven't done an extension - they extended for him by one month because they employed him knowing he was off to study. The stamp ends on the 17th. His employer is offering to do an extension or for him to finish this month - I feel it is pointless to extend one more month ?
thank you so much ! No covid extensions - he was on an Education visa with his high school for 4 years, changed onto a Non B as was working in the gap between finishing school and starting University. Non B still valid. Now he needs to begin his studies at BU and they are going to do his Education visa but we just need some time in the interim. Do you recommend a SETV or should we do a border bounce and just get 30 day visa exempt and then extend by 30 ? He is 18y turning 19y
The NGO or the foundation who has invited you are the only ones able to provide the paperwork for your visa. You would need to ask them. They will know the procedure for you. There is only the volunteer visa for this kind of situation and you cannot be working or earning any money in Thailand when you are on it.
The agent needs to give you the original WP10 cancellation form which they received when they cancelled the work permit. They keep a copy. You need this before you can do anything else unfortunately
