My daughter was born abroad (not Thailand ). First, I had to report her birth to my embassy to obtain an official Report of Birth Abroad, which was then used to get her passport. Then I took her passport to the local immigration office where she was given a visa. All took about a month. This might be a suggested course of action in Thailand as well . Maybe check your embassy website?
