Hello everyone!

My kid is born in Thailand this year, she has never left Thailand, I am planning to travel with her to my country and come back here again.

My husband has work permit, I’m holding a dependent visa.

My question is, does my kid need to apply NON-O visa before coming back to Thailand?

An agent told me I have to do so, and transfer her NON-O to 1 year dependent visa in Thailand.

Another agent told me that any kids that is born in Thailand, they don’t have to apply any visa before 15 years old if they want to enter Thailand.

I’m confused😓Anyone has experience? Thanks in advance🙏🏼

Have to worried about some one who refers to their child as my kid

We had the same situation, we decided that was better to get our baby a visa before any possible overstay. Is true that kids are not treated as adults but the overstay on passport will stay forever and you will be questioned if try to enter other countries later. Better be safe than sorry, get a visa under your husband.

Do I need visa,s for them as there both. Thai,- British.

Ime confused now.

Because there mother disappeared, I am struggling with there thai passport.

it would make things easier, but you can travel with a British passport for them just fine.

My daughter was born abroad (not Thailand ). First, I had to report her birth to my embassy to obtain an official Report of Birth Abroad, which was then used to get her passport. Then I took her passport to the local immigration office where she was given a visa. All took about a month. This might be a suggested course of action in Thailand as well . Maybe check your embassy website?

You need nothing, just a passport, and no visa requirements until the kid is 15 years old. There are no penalties until 15.

Hi! Thank you for your comment.

My daughter will hold a Taiwanese passport, which is only eligible for visa exempt until November this year.

Can I apply for her a tourist visa and stay in Thailand with us for long-term? Every time when she leaves Thailand, she has to make a tourists visa again for entering Thailand, is that correct?

Good advice, unless the child plans to live/study here permanently. Some schools require the child to be here legally.

my son went to international school for 2 years without any visa, when he became 15 he got ed visa

Which school? My son's school insists that a proper visa/extension is held.

It's completely dependant upon what your child's passport is. If the passport is eligible for visa exempt, they can just enter without a visa and go on overstay since under 15 cannot be fined for overstay or banned for overstay.

But if the passport country isn't eligible for visa exempt then they won't be able to enter Thailand without a visa.

yes that's correct, if she doesn't qualify for visa exempt then she'll need a visa every time. If they make the visa exempt modifications they advertised last month, you might get lucky as well.

My daughter was born here, when we travelled home we had to take her birth cert to airport to explain lack of stamp, when we came back she came in on tourist which we then converted to dependent

They should be able to enter visa exempt, but will go on overstay once that runs down, theres no penalty other than an overstay stamp in their passport until they are 15. They will likely receive an overstay stamp when leaving this time too. If you want to avoid a 2nd stamp then yes get them a non-o
