Have you recently gone to Vietnam, Laos or Malaysia?

I did mine recently and the requested validation was a passport stamp from the country i was applying from.

I had to fly to Malaysia to get that stamp but possibly if you already have one, that could be enough to start your process.

You will still need to leave Thailand to come back in and get your passport stamped once your e-visa is approved.

This is my experience with Malaysia and it was a process that only took about a week. Could be different elsewhere

I just did mine as an E-visa from Malaysia. As long as your employer has all the docs, the online process is really just about putting those documents in the right section. I often use agents for things but felt this one isn't really necessary.

Note: school will provide about 10 documents, applicantion will initially only ask for 2-3. There will be subsequent requests for some of the other documents which is a little inefficient but just calling it out so it's not a surprise.

Good luck

These Electronic gates are awesome except for the fact that visa applications often still ask for evidence of a stamp. I look forward to the requirements/processes for the embassies catching up with the electronic gates.

@Tony *******
they've asked for a copy of the stamp in this instance.

It is what it is 🙂

Thank you both. Seems like i was given some dud info unfortunately. It happens.

I will arrange a re-entry and go to Malaysia next week to submit the application. Hopefully it all gets approved before my already purchased flights on 15th. I understand its usually about a 3-4day process so will keep my fingers crosses.

Leave your sim with a trusted person in US. when the 2FA is sent, they can whatsapp you the number.

I know its not ideal, but its a solution that works.

just resident of Thailand. Would never give up my AUS citizenship.

Just trying to do the right thing re: taxes as its not always easy to know what information is correct by researching yourself

@Jim *****
good point. I do generally like to go into the office and see the setup and get a feel for it all which is where my original Phuket request comes from
