, the 90-Day report can be done up to 14 days before and up to 7 days after the due date. Before that they will not receive it, and after that they will fine you a ticket of 2,000 THB.
, I am advising ppl not to bite the hand feeding you, and you call it "fear-mongering". I am just informing you that the IO is the one feeding you with your stay permit, and that trying to fight them will only leave you as a loser - as you have no right to stay in Thailand. And yes, you might very well end up desperate when having to leave Thailand because you think you are bravely denying to pay a little fee to have a home visit done smoothly because you wrongfully think the IO has no power over you, and you do not want to live in fear.
, it is not being brave to be a fool. Yes, you are exactly a stupid farang thinking you are still back home in your country having rights as a citizen. The law of Thailand says that the final decision to grant you entry, a visa, or an extension is at the discretion of the IO. If you think it is fear-mongering to know the law instead of fighting the ones granting your stay permit, then be my guest. To me, you are a fool if you do not navigate in the environment where you operate.
I stay Prachin Buri. For the first 3 extensions, I think, they asked for a home visit. They wanted to talk to neighbors with copies of their ID cards. And have a picture of me and my wife together at our home. The second time and third times, they asked for 1,000 THB up front for it at the IO to make it smoother. Then they came the same day as filing the application.
