do a search through this group, expand your horizons and search through some of the numerous other Thai Visa groups. Head to Reddit to the numerous subs and search. The posts are out there. As mentioned, sometimes with little to no info as to prior entry, etc which may impact why they were asked.

We've returned twice on our DTV and have yet to be required to show anything other than our boarding pass and visa. It's entirely random if you'll be questioned or not so best idea is to be prepared with your documents.

and

many people have reported being questioned on re-entry and having to show documents like contracts, bank info, etc. Wasn't always clear what the past entry history was though and if that affected anything.

so you take your passport, your tm30 and go to your nearest immigration office. You fill out the form for 90 day report, hand it all in and you'll get a document showing it as filed. You'll need to keep that if you decide to do an extension. Once you have your visa, the embassy is no longer involved.
Helen ********
Depends on what embassy you apply through and if they request any additional informations. All have different timelines.
Helen ********
@Kellie *******
check with the embassy you'll apply through as they are all a little different.
Helen ********
It depends on your embassy. We've successfully gotten our DTV, Non O or tourist visas using a joint account at various embassies. In each case our account balance had to be double the required amount to cover for 2 applicants.

@Jim ******
that is embassy dependant. We used our joint account.

@Kool ******
that is incorrect and/or embassy dependant. We've gotten all our Thai visas using a joint account. In each case we were told that we needed enough money for each applicant. i.e. 500K THB/Person so the balance had to be 1M THB.
