Hello colleagues. I have read that one of the motivations for applying for DTV visa may be having family in Thailand. Can it be a child with a Thai woman, but out of wedlock? Thank you 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can apply for the DTV visa if you have a child with a Thai woman out of wedlock, but there are specific requirements. Your name must be on the child's birth certificate to receive the initial 90-day Non Immigrant O visa. For the one-year extension of stay, you need to obtain legal custody through the court. Additionally, you can apply for a 60-day Thai dependent relatives extension of stay.
Nothing about the DTV has anything to do with a Thai relative, or family member.

Yes but your name must be on the child's Birth Certificate to get the initial 90 days Non Imm O visa and you can't get the 1 year extension of stay unless you've been through the Court and got legal custody of your child. You can apply for the 60 days Thai dependant relatives extension of stay.
- With a DTV, if the foreign father has a DTV, they can also apply for DTVs for their foreign children. However, the father doesn’t get a DTV because they have a Thai child
