I, too, would love for the Thai-Malaysian border to re-open.

But as I stare at the number of Malaysia's confirmed cases, I imagine that a hesitant Thailand might say: Let us talk when you have registered zero domestic case for at least one month.

Malaysia's conditional Movement Control Order (MCO) is currently in effect until 31 AUG 2020. (This conditional MCO is supposed to be an easing into a post-Covid norm.)

I read recently that Malaysia & Singapore are discussing the re-opening of shared immigration checkpoints to allow bilateral movement of employees.
