ah, yes now I understand. Unfortunately you won't get a residence cert out of Bangkok Immigration on a tourist visa and the DLT here requires it. After banging my head against this wall for a year, I ended up doing a two day trip to Pattaya and engaged an agent.

yes, if he's willing to put 0THB in a Thai bank for the 90 day non-o and then go home. Or perhaps use a dodgy visa agent...🤔

Note that you need to submit your application with more than 15 days left on your entry stamp and also have 800k THB in a Thai bank. Hence a good idea to arrive with plenty of time on a 60 day tourist visa.

Open bank account.

Transfer money.

Submit non-o 90 day application 2000THB

Season money 2 months

Submit year extension 1900THB

doing well, I live with my partner in Bangkok. If you are living together in their condo (like us) ensure they are submitting a TM30 for you, can be done online.

(Takes a little effort to set up but can be done with a little persistence)
