many thanks for getting back. My plan is for both of us to get new passports in the UK and then apply for a 90 day Non 'O' based on retirement at the embassy in London. If our travel plans work out my wife will be 49yrs 8months when we apply. My plan is for her to piggyback on my 90 day retirement Non 'O' when we apply in London. I'm pretty sure this works but can't find any info on the embassy site right now (only Covid info). Assuming things return to the way they were prior to Covid, is it right that my wife can piggyback on the initial 90 day non 'O' even though she's not quite 50? Then we would have our ducks in a row for the extension of stay presumably?
I've been trying to weigh up OA vs O for a while. OA seems to suit us better as I have continuing ties to India and UK so the multiple entry seems attractive. Is it right that it's possible to buy entry/exit permits in advance if one is staying on an O visa?
