Have you actually read the visa guidelines on the Thai government site? You seriously want to hit Facebook instead? Best to stay at home.

Well - seems it's still not been rolled out, at least to all

Interesting re. Moreta. Has that ability to pay to personal codes just happened, and is it automatically available without me having to do anything? I ask because when I click "pay" in the app, the usual banner shows at the bottom saying that it can't be used for Thai personal codes.

Wiser was used in broad terms, and Thai immigration rules are subtle. The point is - some things seem to becoming subject to a little more scrutiny. I personally think rightly.

If it's soft power, they seem to be getting a bit wiser about it...

I think you'd have to head to Ranong by road and go from there. No public ferries from Khao Lak, and it's quite a long way. You'll find plenty of border-run services offered that can wrap it all up into a package for you.

No issue. You have a visa that lets you in and out as much as you want over a five year period. I guess the only risk might be if you obtained the DTV dubiously (generally some weird "soft power"), in which case they may want to see that your qualification for the visa is still valid.

But in general, I don't believe there are any issues. Just present sensibly.
