Get ready to be labeled an agent by those delusional enough to think a DTV grants immunity from immigration checks. There are more and more reports of DTV checks in Chiang Mai and now in Phuket. It’s a logical progression, as many bad actors (not the genuine nomads) are taking advantage of the DTV because it’s cheap and easy. Abuse of exemptions has become harder, so people are switching to the DTV instead.
