I entered multiple times with German passport and don't remember being asked for return ticket. Several times, I entered or left overland.

First, I wouldn't fly to Vietnam, but take bus from Phnom Penh to Saigon. Second, from Lao I can go to Thailand over land, which I prefer. At land borders, less traffic (except Poipet, now closed anyway) and easier to arrange something should problems arise.

Anonymous participant 201 This year, I have been in Thailand for about 5 months in 4 visa exempt entries. One is from 2024, that means I entered Thailand 3 times this year.
