Paul De Graaf Thanks. I just joined the group today and that was on my mind since I've heard the good & bad of it. Here state side the Royal Thai Embassy use to generally say 15 days. Now their not sure and only say it will take longer. Timing is everything for me as I shut down everything thing here before leaving for Thailand.

Anyway, thanks for the advice. I need to do more homework on this... Cheers

Gene Eff I have my dividends investment funds and pension retirement that needs to be forwarded from the states. Also, eventhough we are married, the Thailand government requires an individual account and certified funds that you can take care of yourself and not become dependent on their government.

Steve Fortefyve Thanks Steve... I have all my necessary travel documents. My spouse and I have been together for a few years and of course I've traveled back and forth. My spouse is also getting ready to retire some but she is s pillar in her community as a long established medical doctor. So I don't have copies of her information at this time.

It's safe at our home in Thailand. Yes and we have complete trust in each other.

Thank you

.. Yes, I have set up an account with a brokerage to transfer the needed funds for the Thai bank deposit and also certified monthly income. I will have those documents with me.

I heard that I need to get the type-O visa here state side ? I question this only because most all my documents are with my spouse in Thailand.

Thanks again for your comment
