you know they can see your travel history when they scan your passport and take your fingerprints.

Retirement visa is for a year so you would need to come back and re apply.

You can get 60 days upon arrival depending your home country. You can then apply for 30 days more.

You could then go to Cambodia for a few days and come back in and start to the 60+30 days again then leave for 6 months and start again.

60+30 back to back is up to the immigration officer and final.

They love paperwork in Thailand and you need to get a TM30 issued within 24hrs of arriving into the Kingdom. No TM30 no extra 30 days!

Remember to take your boarding pass off the plane with you. It's an immigration requirement to have it available for inspection but I've yet been asked to show it

If unsure use an agent. 800k in a Thai bank or 65k monthly that must be evidenced coming into the Kingdom.

Getting a Thai bank account will be your first challenge but an agent will get it sorted.

Correct. UK is visa free for tourism for 60 days. You will get a stamp in your passport with the entry date and an exit date.

I did Jet Airways a few times and no issues with a UK passport at Mumbai or Delhi.

Usual queue at security with everyone jumping the line.
