Well you certainly took that to a bit of extreme.

It’s a great question. Probably several I don’t want to remember. But one that comes to mind is wearing a tank top to immigration office when applying for extension. I knew better but forgot

Worked out well for her.

She left early in the morning.

Was back within 3 hours.

They’ll mail it within 5 days to an address we’ll be later this month.

Cost was 1500THB.

Apparently could have had expedited same day service for 3500.

At least that’s how I understand it given our moderately limited language compatibility.

Again thanks to everyone for sincere answers

Thanks for all the replies.

Very informative and helpful.

She is off to Chaengwattana this morning because she is familiar with that and a bit apprehensive to try a new place

Interesting that you mention that 'remember almost no airlines know that the visa exempt entry increased from 30 to 45 days'.

I'll be facing that issue in a few days when I fly out from LAX on EVA Air and have a return in 75 days. I have tried to contact the airline via phone and unable to reach anyone. And have emailed and Facebook messengered without a helpful reply.

So I will approach the check in counter calmly, smiling, and get there early enough so if I have to buy an 'onward ticket' I will be prepared.

I do have questionable confidence in airlines knowing the latest rules. Less than a year ago Japan Airlines was not aware that Ko Samui had the one-night quarantine scheme in effect and would not let me board my flight and delayed me till next day when I was able to get the 'proper' scheme to board.

Please clarify something about the '6 month METV'.

Does 6 month mean it is valid for 6 months from the issuance of the visa?

Or does it mean it is valid for 6 months form the time of entry into Thailand?

And finally does it mean I can stay in the country for 6 months or can I only stay for 60 days at a time and then either need to extend or leave?

Thanks
