Ok Eva thanks for that i will post what they say to me next week when i try the same thing.......appreciate that ....i always expect little traps in most processes at the thai immigration......the last few years renewals have always required something different each year when i thought i had everything covered!!

FYI.....if doing at Jomtien i was told last year that 30 days prior is normal and 45 days only under special circumstances.....meaning if you were not going to be in country and then u had to provide flight details......just renewed till nov 2019 using this rule.....had flight details and he reviewed them.......then just checked with the boss and all ok.......cheers

Just a word of caution on tbe 45 days.....i was told at jomtien that it is 30 days normally for reapplication and they will allow 45 days if you have to leave in an emergency and if so u must have proof of travel......as i said just something to be aware of what they told me.......cheers

In jomtien i think its 3 months for the first application then 2 months for every renewal after initial application....thats my understanding .....kohn kaen may be different as there seems to be no consistency......feel free to correct me if i am mistaken......cheers have a good weekend

No ....it has to be a savings account.......my first renewal a few years ago.... i got refused when i used an interest account (it was money that had been invested and matured and the bank put it in an interest account after maturity) i left it in there for 3 months thinking it would be ok.....got refused and was told by immigration it must be a savings acc.......i could not produce a savings account that had enough money in it for the required time.......so the guy with the uniform at the front in jomtien sorted it out but.....cost me a lot more and it went in his pocket!!
