and mean to say ‘the rest of the world’ should put a lockdown on China, not wait for them to do it themselves. Look back at some of press at the initial outbreak, late dec/early Jan. I found some online, and makes you think, why the fuck did we not ban Chinese (and visitors to) travelling ? If it turns out to be a more friendly virus, and it was an excessive thing to do, we can all recover from a 3-4 week ban on Chinese outward Travel.
my point being, that this didn’t happen first wave, in Jan/Feb when it should’ve. And you could still fly into the UK in early April, without even a question asked, let alone a temperature check. Friends flew back from Thailand, wearing masks, after passing through 10-15 temperature checkpoints on the way, into Heathrow, and walked straight out. You could fly from Italy at the peak of the virus there. Spain, Iran, etc the same. In APRIL !! The whole world shut down by 28th March, yet 100,000 flew into UK without a check AFTER 1st APRIL, Wether UK citizens or not. I believe Thailand did so very well, as they very quickly scrutinised flights from Wuhan, and then the rest of China. The first known case outside China was CAUGHT, with her travel group at Bangkok airport. I don’t know about any more confirmed cases stopped at any airport controls. That would be good reading.
well countries of the world need to shut CHINA the fuck down now. I said this should’ve happened much earlier on the first outbreak. ‘Hindsight’ everyone told me. And now we all have that hindsight, shut China the fuck down now, this morning, and trace everyone who has left China in 14 days. Then trace everyone they’ve been in contact with. And so on. Put them all in hospitals, schools, warehouses, prisons, I don’t give a fuck.
Nope, was with one for four years, but she had a US green card also and preferred a life in NYC at the expense of her ex husband. And just been disappointed by another, so won’t be getting involved with any more if I can avoid it for now 😂
I do still have a business in UK, but a good manager also. Trying to see if I can go a full 12-18 months with the need to return, so this is a good test 🙏
At your age, it’s easy, I’m 42, I’m considering the elite visa at 45, to get me through to retirement visa age, although already retired, very fortunately. So I’m jumping hoops of METV’s and Ed Visa’s.
