Mark Price I never said you didn’t need a exit ticket, I said you don’t need to put the flight or transport details on the departure card when you arrive.
To travel to lots countries you need to provide proof of departure flight/bus/boat etc. It is a legal requirement.
To fly into legally Thailand you need a ticket out.
Normally checked at the desk from the country you are leaving from.
You are misunderstanding what I am saying.
Which is clearly that you do not have to physically fill in the departure card on arrival. You physically fill it out on your departure.
Nothing to do with having an onward journey, that is a separate matter.
I’ve flown into Thailand at least 4 times a year for over a decade. Last year over 10 times.
Left Thailand on buses, cars, boats and flights. I would physically need a new departure card every time on exit if I filled it in when I entered. Immigration would lose their mind if thousands of people changed their departure cards details as they changed their travel arrangements.
So yes you are right, you need an outbound flight, can risk it but what’s the point for 1000tb phucket -KL ticket that doesn’t matter if you don’t get on the plane.
Mark Price yes because you are arriving into Thailand. 🤦♀️ you do not need to fill out the departure card until you leave you depart. Hence DEPARTURE card.
Yes that is for a departure, when you exit Thailand. Not enter, you can leave it blank til you leave then hand it to immigration when you exit with your flight or car/minibus number
