My insurance covers expenses for doctors appointments and medical incidents and emergencies but not the costs for the medication.

Yes i have diabetes type one as well. It's a German company, I don't know about their policies regarding non-Germans but you can ask them. They're called HUK-Coburg

here in Thailand, if you have diabetes, that will be a pre-existing condition and likely excluded from any coverage.
