You don’t need to submit any contract if you are a self employed

Below is the official equipment from HCM city thai consulate

(3) in case of self-employment, a professional portfolio demonstrating the status of a digital nomad, remote worker, foreign talent or freelancer.

1. I have it for all 6 months. But I think they only care about the latest one. I did not see them check all my other five statements. And you can combine different bank statement to give them the sum.

2. I don’t think they care, as long as the statement resembles a bank statement (with a list of transaction details, etc.).

3. Any bank works as long as you have a balance equivalent to 500k baht.

4. I don’t think they can really understand everyone’s job. Just submit a CV and something in English that you think can help support your job, such as remote work-related materials. That should enough.

*The 6-month bank statement only requires the latest one to have 500k, which is not clear. You may find out by sending an email to the consulate. Other than that, they may not know how to answer because these details are not in their SOP handbook. Just submit the documents, and you should be fine.*

Their role is to verify that the applicant has submitted all the necessary documents and that the numbers are correct. It is very unlikely they are required to assess the content of your documents.

If they reject you, they won’t get your money. Why not make a trip to HCM and find it out, especially since you are not very far from HCM. 😀

***These are my personal thoughts and are not meant to be considered as definitive advice. I won’t assume any responsibility 😅.***

I think it is only the latest. I didn’t see them really pay attention of the rest of my statements. But better to mail them to confirm about it. I cannot sure.

The total requested document is not listed anywhere, only can be found out when you are at the embassy. Additional documentation is consistently required, and even if you consider a dollar note to be acceptable, it may not meet their standards.

Yes I do but I think they only care about the latest one if the amount is sufficient there (but I’m not very sure; it was just that I only saw the staff checking the amount on the latest statement, not checking the rest).

This is their requirement and does not mention that you will need the amounts for all the past 6 months. You can email them to clarify that.

Financial evidence: amount of no less than 500,000 THB e.g. bank statement, payslip, sponsorship letter

- The financial statement can be from any bank and any currency, but must be in English or Thai language only. Please kindly print out the transactions within the last 6 months from your bank account.

Yes, I did. The embassy in Vietnam is required to submit statements of 6 months. Other locations might not have this requirement.
