@Steve ******
Hi Steve, if possible could you point me to some information about this? I actually spent some time researching before making a reply to the post because I do not like getting things wrong, yet I was not able to find anything. Tnx.

Tod, I am confused, how does the OP get what he says is 109 days out of a SETV and an extension? I admit to having not counted the days myself

Paul, I am hoping one of the admins will reply to your post because I am not one of the experts. I am not sure Lance understands your situation properly. It does not matter if you are married to a Thai, if you enter on a SETV not a Non-O based on marriage surely that SETV that you enter on is the only thing that can be extended and that only once for 30 days. You would need to do a border bounce to get a 30 visa exempt entry before the end of your extension. If it is not too late, you could consider a METV. It does sound like you wish to go down the Non-O based on marriage route, but that would also be an option

@Michelle ******
Agreed Michelle the re-entry permit would just keep the original permit to stay alive. Getting a re-entry permit and extending the permit to stay before that date would accomplish what the OP seems to be looking for.

I did the same border bounce earlier this year and knew nothing about TM30 process so did not re-register. I did not run into any problems because I was on a METV and had no reason to visit immigration. The next time I will get the place I stay to do it even if I will not need to go to immigration for any other reason.

Anything is possible depending on the migration officer but it is very unlikely that Thai immigration will say anything because they know you can do a border bounce to extend and I do not think they often look proof of onward travel, although they can do so.

Greg is correct. There is no fine at BKK or DMK for an overstay under 24 hours. You will get a stamp in your passport. I do not think the stamp will. Be a big problem but do not know for sure after my flight was changed earlier this year putting me on overstay. I am not an expert on this just a victim of it :-) but my guess is that airline changes are the reason the Bangkok airports do not charge for under 24 hours overstay.

Peter I understand your point of view. Entering on visa exempt would be an idea as long as the OP is from a country that qualifies. Getting a visa fixed within Thailand would I think be a problem as embassies and consulates that issue visas are all outside the country. Thai immigration might agree to fix it but I would not bet on it. In reality I think the OP will be fine. If not a 30 exempt entry might be a good option but the OP might also need to go a neighbor country and apply for a new tourist visa if wanting to stay more than 30 days.

Sean it is interesting. I checked all of the Thai visas I have gotten and none mentioned gender. It seems different embassies issue slightly different looking visas and I hope this favours immigration not really looking at gender as it is not always there.

Peter just a small point. The folks who issued the visa are part of a different govt agency. Thai immigration is an arm of Thai police.
