ORIGINAL POSTER
Flew into BKK yesterday. Had my passport and new visa ready. No questions asked. No checking for 20k baht. Wished me luck with my new classes and got the stamp.

Didn't use an agent for the application. Took 20 mins to fill everything out and then 7 business days for approval. I see a lot of fear mongering freaking people out about the process. Follow the rules and provide what they ask for. No drama.

Edit for the people asking, it's the DTV

With a Visa you don't get some questions, normally. As you prove your financial asset already. But thx for let us know. 🙏

I agree with you.. People love to blow other's dreams!

Other than the passport, NOTHING WAS REQUIRED. NO LINES AMD I WAS TOLD that this wasn't a good time. To travel due to peak season and the burning of trash and brush creating lots of pollution in the north.

"Welcome, have an amazing time." and waiting in line was less than 10 minutes

It's often the people that use agents that think the process is difficult. People that do it themselves like you can see the Thai Visa process is quite simple.

If you came here under a visa thats not a tourist visa they wont ask for the 20,000 thats for tourist visa and visa exempt.

Your visa approval from what im assuming is an ED visa shows you are financially sound anyway
