I would be greatful if anyone could give me any info on this. I am a UK passport holder resident in England. Currently in Colombia but will be flying back to Thailand from either Mexico City or Miami. I know I have to apply for my COE in country of departure, but are there any regulations in place to say how long you need to be in that country before you apply. E mailed both embassies already but no replies as yet.

Had conflicting info on various forums,anyone here actually got a COE from a country they were not resident in ??

Hi, my flight is tommorow and I still don't get my COE. I lost my passport and try to upload my new one that I did just get, but the COE website says: "upload error".

Hello! Do we need to have TR Visa completed before doing COE?

For the COE, do I select the embassy of my passport, or of the country of departure?

I couldn't find this answer anywhere. The first step to registering for the COE (in my case, for Visa exemption), you need to select the "place of origin" and then select an Embassy of that place. In my case, I'm using the Brazilian passport to get the exemption, but my flight will depart from Spain.

What about layovers, do it affect the "place of origin" to Thailand? Is there a limit of how many layovers I can do to arrive on Thailand?

Also, do I need to buy the insurance before applying for the COE? The only things you can provide later are flight and ASQ proofs?

Hello all, any update on New to be Elite visa holder authorization to apply for COE from France. I got accepted yet no letter yet to get stamped but I also understand that some consulate don’t even have yet instructions? Any update appreciated also did anyone got their letter of approval last two weeks? Seems like the pipe is clogged a bit in process...
