Hi all,

I applied for DTV online via Thai embassy in Ankara, Turkey.

Well, I applied on May 21, and today's date is June 27.

They're not replying to e-mails and the document's state hasn't changed.

Anyone else have experience with the embassy in Ankara?

Hello,

I applied for the DTV visa on May 6th via the Los Angeles consulate with the e visa platform, as a digital nomad.

I received a request for additional documents on May 23rd and I submitted them the same day.

I have yet to receive a status update after the status changed to "pending document check" upon submission.

The website for this consulate says 15 business days for initial response, and if additional documents are requested, it will take another 5 business days.

My planned flight leaves June 20th(US).

It is currently the 16th and I have yet to hear anything.

I saw one post on reddit about delays with additional document processing through this consulate, but it took 11 business days after additional document submission for him.

It has been longer for me.

Has anyone had similar experiences, or any ideas on how to expedite this?

I have emailed the consulate but no response, can't contact via phone either.

Called the NY consulate today and asked for an update on my visa application, since my flight is soon and their processing time is currently around a month. A staff member told me that even if I don't get approved in time, I can go to Thailand as a tourist and once approved, I can leave the country and re-enter with my visa.

Though I suppose immigration could still turn you away when you try to enter.

Just sharing what they said. Don't shoot the messenger cause some of y'all can be jerks lol

I received this request on my DTS application. I am a bit confused as I uploaded a year's worth of bank statements showing incoming paychecks, 500k THB in savings and the account number. The only potential issues I see is that my name is slightly cut off due to length on the statement, and the name of the company paying me is not the same as the name of the company on the contract. Has anyone had any luck calling or emailing the consulate for feedback on what they want here?

I have had a yearly multiple entry Non-B business visa for many years now from the Hong Kong Thai consulate (where I am a permanent resident). Normally, I don't apply for a new one until the previous one has expired, but this year, the timing is off because I will be back in Hong Kong only until a week before my current Non-B expires, then will come back to Thailand (where I will be granted a 90 day stay) but then I am traveling from Thailand to Europe shortly after, then would like to return to Thailand without going through Hong Kong. This means I can't apply for a new yearly multiple entry Non-B visa (e-visa) from the HK consulate for my return to Thailand. Does anyone know if I need to actually wait until my current visa expires before I am allowed to apply for a new one? I tried contacting the consulate but there's no reply.

I can't get an extension of stay w/re-entry permit on a Non-B instead, because the frequency that I travel back and forth doesn't allow me to remain in Thailand long enough to process it.

Has anyone applied for DTV with a joint bank account? Do I need to be the main account holder? I’ve tried to email the Los Angeles consulate but no response.

Online info on Thai visas is generally out of date and not synchronized with actual requirements of Immigration at the Bangkok airports. In Taipei I scurried about to prepare documents for Visa on Arrival, following online instructions, and then after arriving I was told that those rules were no longer valid. All I needed was my passport (USA in my case) and boarding pass for 45-day visa exemption. So to celebrate I went straight to my favorite little restaurant on the first floor of Tharathip Mansion near Ari and Saphan Khwai stations. The best spring rolls in Bangkok! Delicious Chinese noodles-and-ham dish too...

I'm a work permit holder. My husband got a visa to accompany me from the Thai consulate in LA, California but they mistakenly listed the reason as "Thai wife". Our local immigration office won't grant an extension of stay until the mistake is corrected, but I can't get any response from the consulate in LA.

I'm thinking that we'll have to exit the country, apply again at a consulate outside of Thailand, and return. Is that correct?

(I get zero visa support from my employer for family members. Even getting the appropriate documents to apply for the visa was a struggle.)
