Hello,

I applied for the DTV visa on May 6th via the Los Angeles consulate with the e visa platform, as a digital nomad.

I received a request for additional documents on May 23rd and I submitted them the same day.

I have yet to receive a status update after the status changed to "pending document check" upon submission.

The website for this consulate says 15 business days for initial response, and if additional documents are requested, it will take another 5 business days.

My planned flight leaves June 20th(US).

It is currently the 16th and I have yet to hear anything.

I saw one post on reddit about delays with additional document processing through this consulate, but it took 11 business days after additional document submission for him.

It has been longer for me.

Has anyone had similar experiences, or any ideas on how to expedite this?

I have emailed the consulate but no response, can't contact via phone either.

Summary so far

An expat applied for a DTV visa as a digital nomad through the Los Angeles consulate and has been waiting for updates after submitting additional documents. With a flight scheduled for June 20, the user is concerned about the lack of communication from the consulate and is seeking advice from the community about similar experiences and ways to expedite the process.

Has your visa status changed to “Pending Approval” yet?

If not, it likely won’t be approved in time before your flight on June 20.

In the message put your full name, passport number, and application number. Don't waste time with having them need to ask you for it.
