Penang Thai consulate - If this is helpful to someone then great...
Just picked up my Non Imm O (based on Thai wife) single entry 90 day visa from Penang Thai Consulate (UK passport).
Firstly, the consulate moved (photo of old place and new below) across the road (new entrance is 2-3 mins walk from the original). If you used to use the old one, don't be like me and stand at the old wondering where everyone is (until I looked behind me).
Dropped off my paperwork at 0910 yesterday morning (20 people in the queue since 0830...v quiet!) and picked my visa up at 2pm today (again quiet, only 10 people waiting at 2pm).
The only extra paperwork they asked off me when submitting, and the guy next to me was to see the original marriage certificate (which he glanced at for all of 2 seconds).
Quick, efficient service and there's even a small street seller across the road where you can get coffee/food real cheap and take a seat in the shade across from the consulate. Berjaya Penang hotel is just 15 mins slow walk from the entrance too. Happy days
*edit - their website asks for a passport sized photo but in their consulate on the wall is a sign saying TWO photos are required (I took more anyway just in case). FYI there was small bike/mobile passport photo guy outside the entrance when I was queuing at 0830 but I've no idea if he's there everyday of course
