Hello! So glad I discovered this page. I’m a Canadian teacher who has been offered a job in Thailand. I did not being my original degrees, but I have have clear scanned copies of transcripts from two different universities, and I am registered with the Ontario College of Teacher. My name can be searched on their website. Is there somewhere here that will notarize a scanned copy? Will the Thai government accept that? There is a postal strike in Canada so that complicated things even more.

Looking for the best way to stay in Thailand for 5-6 months, we are both Canadian over 60. For the last 2 years we have been coming in on exemption and extending, then border bounce and extending again. When we extended our first exemption the Phuket immigration was very suspicious and phoned my brother inlaw(Thai) asking about where we were staying. When we came back from border bounce the immigration at Phuket airport was asking for return ticket and was questioning us. This is the 1st of ten years coming here that this has happened! I arrived on a TR visa from Canada in November and have applied for and gotten the 30 day extension till the first of February. I will be flying to Vientiane on that date and returning the following day and get the Visa exempt 45 days and then 30 day extension. I thought that you had to fly out of the country and return to get the Visa exempt 45 days and that doing just a land crossing that you would only get 15 days?
