What additional documents should I submit for my Thailand DTV application as a freelancer?

Hey Guys,

I applied for a DTV a few days ago and was asked for further documents.

Details:

I am a freelancer who has partnered with a marketing agency and have a contract to work all of their clients. I have consistent work and a relatively high income.

Documents i already submitted:

- my partnership agreement between me and the company outlining the commitment.

- 3 months of invoices

- 3 months of bank statement showing proof of the invoices being paid.

I was wondering if anyone has experienced this and what document I should be sending next?

Do I have my partner write am employment certificate?

Thanks in advance, any help would be much appreciated! ☺️

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user applied for a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) in Thailand and was requested to submit additional documents. They have already provided a partnership agreement, invoices, and bank statements proving payment. The community advises providing a formal letter from their partner company that states permission to work remotely from Thailand, as well as details about their work relationship. Other suggestions include drafting an employment contract or service agreement to further validate their remote work capabilities. The community encourages updates on the visa application's progress.

If you're self employed, you just write the letter from yourself to yourself and add a link to your website and portfolio

I am self employed and had my office manager write a letter stating specifically what the RTE requested.

Ok I have had my partner from the agency write a formal letter stating I am capable of working globally and specifically named thailand. We added some details about the nature of my work and payment agreements, contract length and the business legal detail (company house number etc).

The whole document was fit into one page thankfully and encompasses all of your suggestions. I will keep you all posted and thanks for all of your suggestions!

As John noted, explicitly state Thailand, and his final suggestion.

Have your partner write a letter signed by the company boss explicitly giving you permission to work remotely from Thailand. It would also be worth including that you will not work with any thai clients or entities

You should be ok, I had a similar application, after showing proof it was enough. But I would ask your partner to write up something about the contract you have in place, just in case.

If you are an employee of your own company, you can have an employment contract drafted to showcase this or have your client draft a service agreement showing that your work can be completed remotely. In my case, I did both and I had similar request from the Vancouver Embassy.
