Is it necessary to show an education certificate for a work permit in Thailand if my job is unrelated to my degree?

Im asking for a wp, I would like to know if I always need to show an education certificate from my country- even I won't work according to my graduation title (arquitect). I understand a teacher probably needs to show it, but some other positions (marketing, business development, etc) sounds nonsense. I think I know peopke who didn't presented any education certificate. Is it compulsory?
