Is a company certificate from Thailand sufficient for a DTV visa, or should I request one from my home country?

I work for American company in a different country. I asked my company to provide the company certificate for the DTV visa, but they sent me a certificate of the company that is located in Thailand. Is it enough for the visa or I should ask for the certificate in my country?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The provided company certificate from Thailand is insufficient for a DTV visa as working in Thailand is prohibited under this visa. It is advised to request a certificate from your employer in your country, as using a Thai certificate may lead to visa application rejection.

No, that's a big reason for rejection. You are not supposed to have any job relation with Thailand (meaning they could think you'll be working locally), not for the DTV. Get the certificate again for any other country.

Even if the company is international and salary is paid outside of Thailand?

Participante anónimo this is what the letter should mention, but it (the letter, I mean) should be coming from the actual branch that pays you the money, which supposedly isn't the Thai one, right?

Right. I get paid from the company branch that is outside of Thailand, and the company certificate is Thai

Participante anónimo that's the problem, you need the certificate for the specific branch you work for.

Working in Thailand is prohibited under the DTV visa. I think is better to request for the company certificate located outside of Thailand.
