What additional documents do I need for my DTV visa application as an Independent Freelancer in Thailand?

Hi everyone, I need URGENT help with my DTV visa application as an Independent Freelancer.

I just got an email asking for more documents, even though I already submitted most during the original application. Can you please guide me on these points:

1. Business License / GST – I don’t have a registered business, I work as a freelancer with monthly contracts. Should I submit my client’s LLC? Or what else can I provide?

2. Flights & Hotel – I only gave flight number + Agoda “pay later” bookings (which now expired today). Do they want an actual ticket + fresh booking?

3. Employment Contract/Certificate – I don’t have a formal certificate, only client contracts (already submitted). Should I add letterhead + client's sign as advised, or is there another way?

4. All Passport Pages – This I can submit.

From what I hear, Mumbai consulate looks for strong proof of regular income + ability to sustain yourself in Thailand.

Would really appreciate guidance from those who have gone through this 🙏

Thanks in advance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking urgent help for their DTV visa application as an Independent Freelancer, having received a request for additional documents after the initial submission. They are unsure whether to submit their client's LLC information as proof of business, how to address flight and hotel bookings, and whether to formalize client contracts. Responses from the community suggest providing strong proof of income, submitting a client's business registration, booking a real flight ticket, and creating formal contracts on letterhead.

They want to know you are legit and paying taxes. Try to formalise and show that you do this. I don't know stipulations for that embassy but meeting the criteria for London was very hard, I had to supply alot of difficult paper work. Give them as much as you can!

Send a cover letter explaining why you are not a registered business

Send real reservation

send contract between you and your client (more than 1 is better) with a cover letter explaining everything

I think showing you are registered with the tax system is what they are looking for

I fully qualify for the visa as a freelancer and yet asked for business registration.

You can submit a client's business registration info. I did so as a freelancer applied in Taiwan though. They seem to want an actual booked ticket with booking ref. You can create a formal employment contract/certificate with your client, I did the same. Having it on letterhead, gives it a more professional, authentic image.

Participante anónimo which you say you don't have? If you don't give them what they ask for, it might get rejected.

Submit a withdrawal letter stating you wish to withdraw your application
