Hi everyone,
I am self-employed and have an LLC from the US (California). Planning to apply for DTV next year w husband and 2 kids. I saw the following below and have a couple of questions:
1.If I am self-employed, what is my employment certificate? (I have my LLC/biz info but that seems to be a separate requirement?)
2. How do I get this authenticated? (We are not in the US now and were hoping to apply before going back next summer; can prolong our application plans if it’s necessary though).
“Foreign employment contract or employment certificate authenticated by the embassy of the country where the company is located.”
Thank you for your insight!
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, self-employed with a California LLC, seeks guidance on applying for a DTV visa in Thailand while having two children. Key questions include the type of employment certificate needed for self-employment and the process for authentication, especially since they are currently outside the US. Comments suggest providing incorporation documents and a company letter to support their application, while noting that authentication might not be necessary for all embassies.
