I have a question for the “sponsorship” part of the application if we choose to go that route, will be handling my girlfriends DTV visa and does the 500k baht need to be from her account?  Or can i sponsor her showing proof of funds in my account? We are not married.  Im guessing its a long shot but just curious to hear if anyone has gone this route

Don’t waste time to think about going that way, much more difficult trying to get DTV that way.

You won’t be able to go the sponsorship route without a legal document showing that you’re married or domestic partners.

You will need the money in an account with name of the person applying for the visa on it if you manage to satisfy the first part.

Im pretty sure “girlfriend” doesn’t qualify for sponsor/dependant DTV. Legal spouse or children/stepchildren only.

She will need her own completely independent visa….

Sponsorship is usually for dependents. There have been a couple of examples posted of a parent or relation sponsoring which I think were from Australia. Not every embassy accepts sponsorship even for family members

I don’t think you will be able to “sponsor” your girlfriend… need to married she will basically need to qualify/ apply by her self
