I have applied for a METV. One of the required documents is one for Financial evidence: amount not less than THB 60.000. I thought this was a very low amount. After I submitted the application, I read on the Thai Embassy in Denmarks website, that the amount was DKK 45.000 (225.000 THB).

I am now asked for further documents - maybe because my statement was in between the two figures. But now I have to document monthly income of no less than 70.000 THB after taxes. This is a problem, as I have no income when going.

Did some of you have a simular experience? Does anyone know the correct amount of money needed for this visa? Not sure how to proceed with this.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is experiencing confusion regarding the financial evidence required for a METV (Multiple Entry Tourist Visa) application. Initially, they believed the requirement was THB 60,000, but discovered on the Thai Embassy's website in Denmark that the necessary amount may be DKK 45,000, equivalent to THB 225,000. After submitting their application, they were requested to provide proof of a monthly income of at least THB 70,000, which is problematic for them as they have no income upon arrival. Comments from others reveal varying experiences with financial requirements, with some stating a lower bank balance sufficed for their applications.

BTW, they also asked for this: Danish Yellow Card (Sundhedskort)

It has no validity outside EU so why would they ask for this?

It is to confirm your current address as this is the kind of proof we have here in Denmark.

I just done my METV though the London Embassy. I noticed that they have changed the requirement to 60,000 baht. I showing a balance above this. I had no issues and received the eVisa after 3 days.

This is what it says:

Copy of document showing a monthly income of at least
*****
DKK after tax if multiple entries

Does not sound like past income...

@Lars *******
must be past income, can not show future income as you have not got it yet

Problem is that I did not have DKK 45k on the statement, as I thought it was only THB 60k. I could easily have shown a the correct value.

each Thai consulate will ask for different things. There is also things that are lost in translation. When I applied for a METV last year the consulate that processed my application wanted proof of funds going back 6 months. So I had to send my bank statements for the last 6 months. In my case they wanted to see at least a balance of $7000.

i believe NY embassy asks for this as well but i have only ever given them a current balance. Really a crapshoot what they want

I noticed that some consulates (UK/US/GER/BE) are asking for proof of an x amount for the last 6 months as stated on their website, while Dutch and Danish aren't asking this. Here they just ask for 5,5-6k Euro proof when apply...
@Lars *******
strange if they come up with something new. A bank statement with minimum balance of DKK 45,000 isn't clearly enough?

You don't need to show income when going to Thailand, they want to see current or recent past
