Hello.
❤️❤️❤️ This post might be useful for those who need to:- ❤️❤️❤️
- amend the wording of Medical Certificate (you should seek advice from your chosen Thai Embassy first though) and
- reduce file sizes for online visa application.
Please scroll down for more info.
Apologies to those who already know.
FIRST AND FOREMOST,
Thanks a million to lovely admins and folks here for kind advice without which I would have struggled with the visa application a lot more. My OH's Non O-A application is done and his documents are to be posted to the Thai Embassy in London.
FYI, I used Internet Explorer, saved the visa application and then edited the existing application (against advice from some posts here to delete all pending applications and re-start from scratch), because I was curious! Confirmation and email were received instantly. DO NOT forget to press the Submit Application button once you have completed the application itself. Make sure to scroll down for this.
Non O-A means that you choose 'retired', rather than 'employed'/'business owner' or, for some very peculiar reasons, you will not get any application ref. when you partially save your online submission. This issue could be down to something else, too. It is based on my observation and research. Some people had the same problem.
Contrary to some advice here (after a few online upgrades, it is unsuprising that things have changed yet again), as soon as payment was made, no application appeared on the complete/incomplete application list at all! Do not be alarmed, just check your email if no popup windows with info appears.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
---Med Cert---
Some doctors may refuse to sign the downloadable version from the Thai authority as it includes wording such as good health, no disabilities and no defects. Hence some embassies MAY allow you to amend it. London did advise me to amend via FB Messenger. You must include the diseasese below. Please note that the editable sections are marked with ❤️❤️❤️ Please see the picture of a blank Med Certificate against the text below to be sure. I appreciate that some of you do not read or write Thai.
The Thai/Eng. text is here in case you need to copy:-

---File-size reduction---
There are other ways to reduce file sizes such as FB which has been covered by some other posts (I did not try this method). I tried a few file-resizing apps but the e-visa system kept rejecting the resized files despite correct format (PDF or JPEG) used and size being no more than 0.5MB. For me, the Snipping Tool and Paint3D method worked 100% successfully allowing me to convert files from PDF to JPEG reducing the sizes in the process without any app purchase or new software. If you already have the Snipping Tool programme, this should be easy.
First of all, scan your documents. I did mine in PDF. Open each scanned file and use Snipping Tool to snip it. Please follow the very easy steps in Image 2 for the rest.
Best of luck!!!
