I want to apply for the DTV visa for Thailand (l saving this September) I have all the qualifications and except the REASON. I am not a digital remote worker.
I have enrolled in a 2 week yoga intensive. I have contacted a few places where I am going but they either only want cash on arrival so no ability to present a receipt of payment for enrollment before applying for the visa from Canada.
One cooking school said “someone applied from here for their visa through our school” and this school offers one day - all day courses but….one day?!
The language schools I contacted want me to enroll of 2 months for 1000$.
Two extremes.
Has anyone found a happy medium for a place on KPG that will take payment from Canada in order to justify a long stay?
My partner and I are travelling to Thailand in September so that he can complete a Scuba Instructor Course(course is all booked and deposit paid). The course is seven months and we were planning to get the 6 month tourist visa and extend the final entry to ensure he could finish his qualification. However this was before we learned about the DTV. I think he is the prime candidate for the soft powers bracket of the DTV.
However that leaves me a bit stuck. I am a teacher in secondary schools and have recently branches out to AI evaluating online, however as I am new to this the work is not consistent yet and so I don’t think I could swing a remote worker DTV. Which leaves me with soft powers. I’m interested in doing Muay Thai and Yoga whilst we are there, but how long a course would I need to book to qualify? I saw someone said they booked a year of Muay Thai, has anyone booked less than this and qualified?
I’m traveling to Thailand on May 3. I need a 60/90 day tourist visa for a yoga course. I am American so I get a 30 day visa, but in terms of extending.. I fly into Bangkok, then off to Koh Phangan. Where do I need to go in Bangkok to get a tourist visa and what documents do I need? I do not have access to printer. Thanks ahead of time :)❤️
