I want to apply for the DTV visa for Thailand (l saving this September) I have all the qualifications and except the REASON. I am not a digital remote worker.
I have enrolled in a 2 week yoga intensive. I have contacted a few places where I am going but they either only want cash on arrival so no ability to present a receipt of payment for enrollment before applying for the visa from Canada.
One cooking school said “someone applied from here for their visa through our school” and this school offers one day - all day courses but….one day?!
The language schools I contacted want me to enroll of 2 months for 1000$.
Two extremes.
Has anyone found a happy medium for a place on KPG that will take payment from Canada in order to justify a long stay?
TLDR : Answer Summary
The original post discusses the challenges faced in applying for a DTV visa for Thailand, particularly due to the lack of a qualifying long-term course. The user mentions enrolling in a short yoga intensive but struggles to find a school that accepts payment from Canada and provides the necessary documentation. Comments suggest that the DTV visa requires cultural activities approved by the Thai government and that a longer course (preferably more than 6 months) may be needed. Specific approved schools, such as those for Muay Thai and language classes, are recommended.
